From Jedi to Sith, Gungans and Ewoks, Wookies, Rancors and many more, The Star Wars universe has birthed some of the coolest and lamest characters this side of the galaxy. The films are special, and the characters help give them their uniqueness, along with the awesome special effects and plot. They help give initiative and meaning to these films, and are the bread and butter to the galaxy far, far away. Without classic characters like Luke, Han, Darth, and Boba, These movies might only be half as memorable. After seven films and nearly 40 years, I want to know who stands at the top of the star heap.

I think those who call Boba Fett one of their favorite characters from the movies haven't really paid close enough attention. At least not if you base it solely on the movies. In the actual movies he doesn't really have too much screen time and he basically ends up failing at the one job he was given. He barely has any lines of dialogue either. Sure his interactions with Vader might make him a bit interesting but to the point where he'd be worthy being called the best character? Not really.

If we're going for best minor character from the movies in terms of screen time, my pick would be Mace Windu. He would've managed to defeat Palpatine single handedly had not Anakin interfered. Even Yoda was unable to do that despite Palpatine being weakened when they fought. Also Mace Windu is played by Samuel L Jackson. So that should pretty much settle things right there

Qui Gonn Jin is pretty cool too considering he's like the only powerful jedi that decided not to join the jedi counsel in the beginning of the series. One of the only good things to come from Episode 1 along with Darth Maul's fighting style.

Now favorite character overall is a difficult one. I would say Darth Vader just barely edges out the other ones to me. I have a lot of nostalgia for the 3rd movie despite its flaws the final fight between Anakin and Obi Wan is one of the series best moments for me. I really enjoyed his entire transformation from a champion of light to this evil and ruthless sith lord. His mask and costume is also just pure genious. I think him being more iconic than Luke himself says a lot. Outside from being one of the coolest characters he's also one of the most unique characters.

Honorable mentions would be, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Yoda and R2-D2

This character has tons of loyalty, honor, perseverance, determination, and respect to his fellow men. Let's face it, you all know who I'm talking about.



I guess Chewie, C3PO, Han, and TR8-0R are my favorite characters.

A user of this : Yes how could I forget him. Ignore everything I said previously. This is what makes Star Wars truly stand out in terms of character development.

My favorite is without a doubt, Han Solo. I didn't fully like most characters until I saw The Force Awakens, but once I watched it in December, I instantly fell in love with his character.

That's part of the reason why I'm so excited for the Han Solo fim that will be out in a couple of years.

My favorite is Anakin. Reason being is that he is very force sensitive and had the potential to be the greatest Jedi ever to be. His Mediclorian level was higher than any Jedi ever and was conceived purely from the force. His origins are very interesting. Some speculate that Darth plegius created anankin by utilising the power of mediclorians to basically create anakin. Also the way how this character unfolds. He was said to be the one to end the darkness of the sith. But instead was overcome by the fear of using the one he loved most. That is why anakin is my favorite character in the star wars universe. 

You're actually quite interesting. Most people despise Anakin. It's enlightening to know not everybody thinks so. Thanks for sharing, friend.

Obi wan Kenobi, I guess. Anakin was cool and all, but Obi Wan Kenobi had a cooler head, was a much more strategic thinker (which, while I will always approve of the brute force approach, seemed to get him out of more than a few tricky situations), and he always at leas tried to keep Anakin Skywalker in check.

Runner ups are Mace Windu and Ki Adi Mundi.

I think my favorite Star Wars character is Princess Leia (because her hair buns totally pwn). =P Actually, I like her personality and how she dedicates herself to the cause of standing up to the Dark Side.

I really like Kylo Ren. Why? Because he is original! XD

They took some of Anikin's more boring aspects and spicened up his faults. The way he rages. . . the way his face looks when he gets upset. It's just great, and I love the twist on an original take. XD XD

My favorite character was always Han Solo.

I really like the whole "smuggler" aspect to begin with, so his character fits really well in to what I liked before he even had any development through out the series. Not only that, but I really like the way he originally never cared for any one but him self ( and of course Chewy ), until the rest of the main cast helped him realize it was worth having people close to him. Also Harrison Ford is a beast in most every role he plays, so there is bonus points for simply the actor playing him lol

My favorite star war's character is Jar Jar Binks. 

If you think anyone is  better than Jar Jar you're wrong.

The fact that he is just so random of a character and is straight up put there for comedic relief, it's really funny honestly. He carries out all of his jobs and its pretty awesome.

Sucks he wasn't in enough of the movies to really get everything out of his character that I really did kind of want, but you know, whatever
