So, when adding my real life video game collection in the VGR, I accidentally forgot to uncheck the "follow" box on a few of the games I added. Now I'm getting notifications regarding every new thread or review the game. This is mildly misleading and disappointing just because I assume this is actually something on the site happening to me.

I've looked around, but can't seem to find a way to actually disable the notifications. I try to edit the game, but only to find the box automatically unchecked even though I still get the messages. Anyone know a solution?

I believe having the game in your collection automatically subscribes you to all threads and stuff for that game which is why I rarely add games. Not too sure if there's a way to turn it off without taking down the games from the collection.

I would like the answer to this myself. I have the same problem where even if I'm not subscribed to the game in my collection I still get a notification when someone makes a thread for it.

I've talked about this with Davideo7 through private message ages ago but it didn't go anywhere.

Clayton 2 : As far as I'm aware there's no real way to do so as of yet I guess you could try removing it from your collection and see if that works but if it doesn't I don't think there is one. I remember talking to David about this briefly way back, hopefully it's something that he may fix in the future.

Edit: Well I guess if nothing else works you could try pming him about it but he likely wont see your PM for a while considering how many PMs he gets daily.

Zlinqx : I'll try deleting the entry and try again, this time with the box unchecked. Thanks for the tip.
