Hello, everybody! I am here today with another thread highlighting a simple phrase, which also happens to be a question, partially - my cousin is my best friend. I am not entirely sure about how often the case in which one's best friend is simultaneously his or her cousin is, but I disregard that and accept what I have - Green, a kind, caring, lovable boy who can be the most reliable little nuisance in the whole world. Even his yells of disagreement are interpreted by me as music, and I adore him as though he were me best friend - which he is!
The English language fails to describe exactly how much this wonderful pipsqueak tuft of ginger means to me, but I will do my best. To give is better than to receive, so I would like to pay him a tribute for all of his contributions to me as a dear brother and as someone who REFUSES to say 'no' to helping me in even the slightest situations. Greenluigi is the sweetest being to grace the planet to me, and I appreciate him for being the brother I never had. The point of this thread, though, has to me made since this would otherwise be a PM.
Do any of you people have your cousin as your best friend? A 'no' from everyone would not bother me, but I could not help but wonder if there were any people here who shared as close as a relation to his or her cousin as I do with mine. Noting that we are 'siblings' or 'best friends' is a disgustingly gross understatement of the bond I share with Greenluigi, whom I am positive is reading this right now with his 'Kimmy, what the eff' face. Out of curiosity, I would like to know if anyone here is best friends with his or her cousin.
Green, or as I would much rather refer to you by your real name, you are my absolute favorite human being who walked Earth. Period. Your big, brown hair begs to be ruffled by my awaiting hand constantly, and the first thought I have upon walking out of your building is always, "when am I going to see you again"? Every breath you make is gold, Green, and you're probably worried about me right now because of how nice I'm being to you. You and I both know we're best friends, but I would like to write you a small poem about our friendship because I do not believe we say so to each other often enough.
Let me begin by saying that I adore you, Green,
And that I truly believe you and I make the ultimate team!
I offer due apologies if I was ever being mean,
And I promise I will not rest until my faults are redeemed.
You are the sun to my dark, rainy day,
And how much you mean to me is impossible to say,
For you have a heart of gold, and an extraordinary one at that,
And you are the only person to whom I take off my hat.
Your life, my cousin, is the most valuable to me,
And my admiration for you stretches farther than the eye can see.
You are what lifted me in my state of depression,
Yet, I fear my protection of you is becoming a dangerous obsession.
With concern, your name is becoming one of my more common blurts,
You make all of my negative thoughts revert.
Losing you, my friend, is drastic; nothing could be worse,
And I love you so tremendously dearly that it hurts.
I begin to get upset when I haven't seen you in a while,
And I ache of nostalgia when I think of your smile
Your name is my new favorite word,
And my care for you piles up to numbers unheard,
For it cannot even be measured in numbers; Not all of it,
And my love for you, Greenluigi, is positively infinite.
Life without you is meaningless, like a corpse with no soul,
Life without you is incomplete, like a mere quarter of a whole,
Life without you is unlivable and worse than being stabbed with a knife,
In short, life without you does not deserve to be called life.
You are simply impossible to hate,
And our bond, I'm sure, is as strong as Fate,
And I hope, in all honesty, that you are not confused,
About this tribute, for losing you would leave my permanently bruised,
Unless, of course, I don't end up dead.

Your existence is what maintains the constant smile on my face,

Because of a painful 'what if' concerning you.

And you are the reason I enjoy being alive.
Your voice wipes away any pout or 'boo hoo',
