TODAY i take a trip down memory lane with one of my favorite pokemon Nidoran....well the male version anyway now there is a problem with reviewing pokemon that require stones to fully evolve and the problem is i dont really know when to evolve for the review so i had to go to bulbapedia...by the way that site is great...anyway yeah i talked to the community and i finally said screw it i will evolve it when i want to screw the readers...not really i love you guys oh yeah thats another thing thanks for the feedback you guys have no idea how happy that also gives me more Motivation but anyway lry me tell you why i love Nidoran

No specific reason really except its the first pokemon i caught with a pokeball...so yeah thats a big reason me and this pokemon went a long way i even took it to the elite 4 it has always been on my team now the funny thing is someone at my school told me it could have evolved again using a moon stone i noticed a had one in my items i used it and...needless to say i was happy but in short this was the first pokemon i caught with a pokeball and i have always kept it on my team and it did not suck it was actually the second strongest pokemon on my team but times have changed so lets look back on this pokemon and see how he holds up now

MOVE SET

At the start this thing will only know leer and peck...meh its okay it will get you off your feat

At level 7 we get focus energy,,,no....no...stop it..

At level 9 we get double kick a good move for this pokemon take it

AT level 13 we get poison sting...pfft sorry just...move on to the next one..

Now at level 19 we get fury attack this move has a base attack damage of 15 and hits 2-5 times this is actually a good move but i dont like using it so i dont recommend it but do what you want

Also at level 21 we get horn attack a decent normal type move with a base damage of 65 and 100% accuracy take this its a good move

okay guys i usually evolve this thing at level 23 because thats where it gets a new move if you evolve it i recommend you use your moon stone here now i no there are arguments on when to evolve this guy but this is just my method and you dont have to follow it do what you want but for now....WE GOT NIDOKING YEAH

Alright if you evolved this guy at level 23 we will get chip away this normal type move has a base damage of 70 and ignores any stat boost..this is such a good move take it

Now at level 35 we get thrash this move has a base attack damage of 120 and has 100% accuracy now the drawback is the user is confused after using this move 2-3 times so i recommend you take it but i also recommend you use it sparingly

At level 43 we get earth power a rock type move with a base attack damage of 95 and 100% accuracy this is a great move take it DONE

NOW to end this at level 58 we get megahorn a bug type move with 120 base attack damage and 85% accuracy and guys this one is all up to you i usually take it but i like having accuracy so...i am kind of confused on this move take it if you want

STATS

Okay ONCE AGAIN this pokemon stats do not go over 100...ugh...okay thats not to say they are bad they are just a little odd but they are completely balanced and that balances that out near all its stat are on par with each other now its main stat is its attack and thank god they got something right because i dont know how much longer i can take stupid stat choices now its second highest stat is its special attack and its speed which is suprising you would think this pokemon is slow but he is actually pretty fast sadly its lowest stat is its defense but really if your fast enough that should not be to much of a problem especially since this thing only has 2 weaknesses which are ground and psychic just like ekans...ugh,,,,memories...anyway not much to say here except these are some good stats now i need to tell you now NEVER EV TRAIN POKEMON LIKE THIS there is no point to do that its stats are so equal that you will throw them completely out of balance and this thing will suck so thats all i can say for stats TO THE TMS AND THE HMS

TMS AND HMS

yep this things tms are pretty good to TO THE SET

Thunderbolt
Earthquake
Sludge wave
Mega horn

Alright with this set i had to do the same thing i did with my Cranidos review which is go all out attack and cover as many types as you can and luckily...i think i got everything i cover psychic types with mega horn and rock types with earthquake thunderbolt and sludge wave are just there to be your main offensive moves though so...yep not much to say because this is not very complicated all you have to do is look at the set and you get the point to it but if you guys got a set that you think would work just tell me in a reply TO THE GYM...not that i need to be HA weight joke...didnt work..not funny...yeah my girlfriend tells me that to BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE UP HOPE

GYMS AND RIVAL

Alright this is actually a pretty good pokemon for gyms why...because it does not have many weaknesses and if you trained if good enough you can just chop pokemon down without even thinking but still you will have trouble with that if you dont have a team to back you up but still this guy can practically tank for your team he can just lead it entirely really and the trainers HA when you get this guy to Nidoking they will have no chance so dont even worry about that now your rival...you may have a little bit of trouble it can be a little tough but this guy can still lead your team its just going to be a little tougher still i dont recall many rivals in all of the games to have psychic or ground type pokemon so it should not be to much trouble now for the final question of the day should you take it to the elite 4...maybe it can work out but dont expect this thing to lead your team anymore its not going to happen and to be honest i would not expect it to survive long enough to reach the leader of that elite 4 so...its your choice but i dont recommend it i was a dumb kid and i did not gain my logical nature yet so...do what you want....sorry buddy FINAL THOUGHTS

Final thoughts:THIS THING IS...not bad at all it still ages well not great but well its basically a Rampardos if it was not on roids the whole time all its stats are balanced to and good amount its tms are good its very good against trainers gyms and rival and even if you dont get Nidoking it can put up a very good fight so if your looking for a poison type with not many poison attacks but can take a few blows and dish some out as well i say you go with this one its a good pokemon and a great poison type i recommend it if you looking for a poison type but always remember it will have some bumps in the road.

Final rating:3/5

Alright thats Nidoran the male version anyway and i will never forget this guy..well maybe when i am 70 or something and i am in some retirement home...who am i kidding i am not going to live that long with all the crap in this country...why am i talking like this- SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON AWESOME MONTH

Fun fact; when i was younger i used to play the mmo rpg known as World of Warcraft...that thing is a social life killer so i left it but i will admit it was freaking fun
