I started to take screen shots for the game Claymates.

After it took a long time for me to give a caption for each screen shot, (it made my computer slow or something, because it took forever after each screen shot) I got impatient and discouraged and gave up.

I will just buy the Netplay item when I can afford it instead, as I am fairly close to reaching that goal (thanks to poke).

I am curious as to who actually went through with the screen shot offer and achieved their goal?

What were you aiming for, and which item did you achieve?

If you got the Laptop item, which games will you take advantage of through V Machine or Netplay?

Oh, and I am sorry for hogging the Claymates screen shots.

That's not over yet, is it? I was fairly certain that it said it went until November 1st. If I'm lucky, I got enough for 100 points... (if I got enough bonus points because I only took about 60 screenshots) but I didn't post about it or anything because I thought I still had all of this month to do it. If I knew it ended yesterday, I woulda taken a lot more than I actually did :x

As far as I can tell , I was the first person to get the laptop and beta ticket through this offer. It really didn't even take all that long maybe a total of 4-5 hours over the course of 3 days, so like 3 hour and a half screenshot sessions and I had enough to get the laptop and beta ticket. I was really psyched that davideo7 made this offer because it would have taken me significantly longer to get these items just by earning Viz all the regular ways. Really it was pretty generous of him to do this.

I had mainly wanted to try out netplay was my main motivation and of course be able to beta test new features.

I also want to help davideo7 in anyway I can because I love this website and I have a lot of respect for him. I think I might actually go and take more screenshots even though I already have all the reward items just to help out a bit more.

Crazy Li : You are correct, the offer does end november 1st so you still do have 1 solid month, the thread for the offer only moved from the general discussion forum to the vizzed market forum.

Netplay is pretty cool, I have tried it myself many times. It should be noted that some games do not work for it however.

I may continue taking screen shots after all because I want that Netplay beta ticket, and I'm already over halfway there.

If you are to take more screen shots, don't take them on games that do not have any screen shots yet, so others have a chance to achieve their goals.

Yes, I thought the event ended October 1st. Fortunately, everyone has another 31 days to get their laptop, beta ticket and/ or Netplay item.

I actually chose not to participate in the special offer because I don't want to get those items via a contest of taking photos. It'd be insanely easy to get and it's just not something that I want to do. Getting the Viz together to buy them will take awhile but, well... it's just not something that I want. Either way, the only item I'm interested in for it is the Beta Test Ticket . I don't want the Laptop and have no need for the Netplay item.

I'm not trying super hard to get them via screenshots... but I do want to help the site by taking screens for games if David says that's something that's helpful. So I basically causally go about it, screening games I happen to play as I go along if I think to. If I end up with enough screens to get the beta test ticket, might as well claim it *shrug*

I can't see it not naturally happening by the month's end.

I'm participating little by little, but I'm still afraid of making screenshots that are bland if I must say. I think I'm close to 50 now, so I'm happy I was able to accumulate that much within a week haha.

Well I have over 50 screen shots (mine got doubled because the game had no screen shots before me), so maybe if I don't slack off then I will go for the beta netplay ticket.

I can afford to buy the netplay item now, but I think I may save up for a laptop instead...
