I'm an old school gamer. The first arcade game I ever played was Asteroids! I'd spend hours at the local Mini-Mart playing on one quarter!
Then came Pac-man and Donkey Kong. As the gaming industry evolved, I found I was amazed at the progress of how far they've come. My first gaming console was Atari. Hours upon hours playing a funky version of Asteroids and Pac-man. As systems progressed, I bought myself a Nes system and became facinated with games like Bandit Kings of Ancient China, Final Fantasy, Ultima Exodus, Gemfire, and so on. I then bought a Snes system one summer and fell for Koei games! Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2, Inindo Way of the Ninja! The list goes on and on!
But when the systems progressed further with the release of the Xbox, Xbox-360, Ps3, I found the games I loved to play so much became fossilized and harder to come by. I'm just glad to be able to find them again!

aw no way, you like romance of the 3 kingdoms, so do i.
This is my favourite one, you played it?:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/game.php?id=8402
Gemfire was excellent too, thats up here, good stuff.
bandit kings wasnt as good as either i felt.
Im seeing a pattern here, you like quite a few strategy/conquest games.
Its funny, i ave so many modern ones yet i still play these old ones too.
Anyway, enjoy vizzd, and enjoy the games, i know i have.

Dude, I couldn't agree more.  I can appreciate and enjoy the new generation of games and consoles too, but there is just a nostalgic and artistic romanticism about the older consoles.  My first was a Commodore 64, and that introduced me to things like pitfall, Mission Impossible, G.I. Joe and got me liking video games.  But once the NES came out and I was introduced to Zelda and the Mario series that was it.  I was gonna be a lifer-a grown man that loved video games.  I actually have collected the retro consoles and some games.  I have all the Nintendos with their Zelda and Mario releases and some other games of personal interest, but it's very difficult to find some of them and sometimes very expensive when you do.

This site is totally a godsend for people who just want to play those games with the cartoony, but rich sounds and images.  There is also a lot of depth in the story lines and let's not forget, the memories.  One of the reasons I chose my screen name is my memories of playing FFIII (on SNES) with my brother and dad and just being blown away by the incredible displays before me.  I may have chosen a Zelda or Mario one too, but I was sure they would all be taken.  Anyway, I've rambled on long enough.  Nice to "meet" ya.  Enjoy!

Yeh, i wound up on vizzed looking for childhood games.

Sometimes you cant help but be amased at the games they made with such basic console builds, and the increase in tech and quality was unbelievable, one day, il be on here rambling about how the good old days with the ps3 and 360 were unbeatable.

I still have a n64, ps1, gamecuble, gameboy colour, advance sp and snes with multiple games. I dont use them much but its nice to have them, theres been days when iv pulled them out and spent a full day on them.
Its funny, the prices are high on launch, cheap on new console releases, and then fond memorys vamp the prices back up =)

Time makes for fond memorys.

Huh. You like old school games? So do I. I mostly like the racing ones, and the RPG's. The others are pretty meh, unless they are story lines, and not 2D plat formed. (with Pacman as the exception)...

Incidentally... do you like Pokémon?
