Armored Armadillo is a reploid, robots who share human characteristics such as DNA, feelings, and can think for themselves, who is based off an Armadillo. He was originally a maverick hunter, but ended up going maverick, reploids who pose a danger to the world. Let's learn about Armor Armadillo.

He was developed by Cain Labs. He quickly developed a warrior type personality. He was also built for underground and heavy combat. Dr. Cain and General Sigma put him in charge of the 8th armored division of the Maverick Hunters. Armadillo had several important responsibilities. One of his jobs was to protect the earth's mines from maverick activity. This was to ensure mines could be accessed without maverick threats. He could also dig trenches into the mines with his sharp claws. In addition, his other responsibility was overseeing the armored division. He would provide heavy artillery and armor support to the Maverick Hunters if they got into a tough battle. Basically he was built for heavy combat and digging.

Armadillo was a loyal, and devout officer. He followed his superiors (Sigma) orders without questioning them. Moreover, he took great pride in being heavily armored, and rightfully so, as he believed he was invincible and could not be harmed. When Sigma started to go Maverick he ordered Armadillo to take control of the largest mine in the world. Armored Armadillo did not think this was unusual as he followed Sigma's orders with no questions asked. When Sigma revealed he was not ruler of the Mavericks, Armadillo followed him out of loyalty. Sigma not only ordered him to capture the mind but do not let anyone in without his permission. Armadillo and soldiers under him quickly took over the mine and closed it off from the public. His soldiers were to mine minerals for Sigma to make maverick weapons . Also, by controlling the mine people could not use the minerals in the mine for daily needs. Armadillo set up a base in the world's largest mine. He also rigged it with booby traps such as pits and spikes.

X, and Zero depending on the game, made their way through the rigged traps and dangerous soldiers working under Armadillo. Eventually reaching Armored Armadillo. When questioned why he went maverick he replied it was due to loyalty. Eventually the two Maverick Hunters destroyed Armored Armadillo disrupting Sigma's mining and restoring access to the mind for the public.

Physical Appearance- In most games he is shown to have purple and gold armor. His nose appears to be dark brown. In addition, he has white on his armor as well. As his name implies he is full of armor and has multiple armor plates.

Personality Wise- He has a warrior spirit and will not quite as he has a fight to the death spirit. He takes his role as a heavy combat designed reploid very seriously. He is a proud fighter. He can sometimes come across as being arrogant as he believes he cannot be harmed due to his tough armor. His main flaw is he does not reason well and as a result does not question orders even if the are wrong. For Example, he followed Sigma's maverick turn out of loyalty to him and did not question. When he is assigned to something even if it is evil he will not question it. His flaws prove to be his downfall.

Skills and Abilities-Armadillo is heavily armored this is used for defense and offense purposes. When he has his armor up its hard for opponents to hit him. In some cases he can block opponents' attacks. He likes to roll around in his armor to do massive damage. He is great in heavy and underground combat. His claws allow him to dig trenches which can also give him an advantage in underground combat. Despite being bulky he is actually fast especially when he is underground. Basically he is built not just for heavy combat but for combat in tight spaces.

Attacks-His main attack is his rolling shield attack. Armadillo will roll into a sphere with all his armor and roll around the room as well as bounce off the walls. This attack is when he is his most dangerous as it does massive attacks. Also, while he is rolling in his shield he cannot be harmed. His other attack is his rapid plasma shot. Armadillo will fire lots of plasma shots, in the shape of spheres, at his opponent. His plasma shots also pack a punch. He can guard against attacks but putting up his armor this allows him to block shots. In some games he can use his armor plats as a weapon hitting whoever gets close to him. Thus, Armadillo has great offense and defense weapons.

Weaknesses- He is weak to the electric spark. The electric spark shorts out some of his armor. In fact, it even breaks some of it. The Electric Spark also temporarily causes him to short out. Since he fights underground with less light it is theorized the Electric Spark may also stun him as it could hurt his eyes.

If the player defeats him they will earn the rolling shield weapon. The weapon fires a sphere of energy that seems like it is rolling at enemies. If the player charges up the Rolling Shield a sphere of energy will surround the player providing them with some protection against enemy attacks. Basically, charged up it enhances the players defense.
